RAL — an international system of matching colors popular today almost all industries. Standard occupied a dominant position in the industry, trade, architecture and design. Leading Russian and Western companies use colors RAL. Color standard RAL history started in 1927 when experts from the "office of trading standards" of Germany was first designed collection, consisting at that time of 40 colors. Since then, the RAL palette is constantly expanding.

The catalog of colors RAL CLASSIC currently contains 213 colors including 15 pearlescent, 5 fluorescent and 2 iron. The name of the color in the table RAL CLASSIC consists of four-digit numbers in combination with the prefix "RAL" (e.g. RAL 1037). The first digit is the code of the tone (1 – yellow, 2 – orange, 3 – red, 4 – purple, 5 – blue, 6 – green, 7 – gray, 8 – grey, 9 – white and black). The other three numbers are chosen sequentially. Russian-language color name (e.g. "Sunny yellow" RAL 1037) is not normative to refer to colors, it is sufficient to remember only the numbers.
